taylor & khoo
Founded by two Australians, Kylie Taylor and Valerie Khoo, T&K is a unique fashion and homewares label that provided employment and opportunity for Cambodian people in poverty. The not-for-profit business supports the needs of 120+ children at the Sunrise Angkor Orphanage in Siem Reap.
I happily volunteered my web design services pro bono and had the pleasure of not only creating the T&K site but also meeting the children in the orphanage.
The site mainly highlighted the company's goals, catalog and how to donate... with extra knowledge enhancing it.
The schematics were designed with the thought process of the how a woman shops while tugging at her heart-strings. After all, the kids are taken care because you bought a fancy new scarf.
The color palette was created to illustrate leadership, accented with softer, motherly hues – which is T&K to a tee.
This same color scheme was then carried over to all other points of the the T&K branding.
